APPLICANTS: Pre-university individuals ages 16 - 18 years old (not currently enroled, or previously enroled, as a full-time university student).
STEPS - The Oxford Essay: Merit Scholarship Assessment
STEP 1) REGISTRATION FORM: Register your interest below and choose one or more Fields of Interest (from which the essay questions will derive). We will send you the Essay Package normally within 1 week.
STEP 2) ESSAY PACKAGE:
We will send you the 2027 Oxford Essay Questions & Guidance, and a 2027 Oxford IQ Academy Prospectus. You will be provided all guidance and details for writing the essay (the word count limit, how the essays are marked, writing guidance, etc.).
DEADLINE: You will have until 11:59PM UK Time on 15 September 2026 to submit your essay, We award partial scholarships based on merit, and the selection criteria and amounts of scholarships will be detailed in the information.
STEP 3) SUBMISSION OF ESSAY: If you choose to submit an entry after reviewing the information package, get to work on your essay of choice. When you are ready to submit, please send it to us here: admissions@oxford-iq.academy
STEP 4) NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS: The Oxford IQ Academy will mark papers when they are received, and will be in touch with the essayist by email. Scholarships may be awarded a varying levels depending on the quality of the essay. The scholarships will be eligible for Oxford IQ Academy summer courses in Oxford in 2027.

Those pre-enroled students obtaining high marks will be notified of a scholarship offer and instructions on how to accept the offer.
Submit a one-page "Statement of Interest" explaining how an Oxford IQ Academy residential course will help you achieve your goals, which subjects interest you and why, and how you will be able to attend our summer course financially if awarded a partial scholarship ("scholar grant").

1. The Nature of the Assessment:The Oxford Essay serves as the primary academic assessment for admission into The Oxford IQ Academy Residential Fellowship. Participation constitutes an application for a merit-based grant and a residential placement at our contracted facilities.

3. Intellectual Property & Feedback:To maintain the integrity of our markers’ expertise, detailed Tutor Feedback Reports are considered premium academic assets. These reports are released exclusively to enroled fellows only as part of their residential pedagogy. The Academy is under no legal or contractual obligation to provide pro-bono academic feedback or credentialing to non-enroled participants.
4. Finality of Decision:The Admissions Committee reserves the right to reallocate merit-based grants and residential spaces if a candidate fails to meet the enrolment deadlines. Once a grant is reallocated, the candidate's file is closed.

The Athena Scholars are future female leaders who take Political Leadership, Business Leadership, Strategic Communications, and Creative Writing/English Literature. University College, Oxford
This course is for young ladies ages 16+ who wish to accelerate their leadership aptitude through a residential course in the city of Oxford that includes courses such as Political Leadership & International Relations, Business Leadership & Entrepreneurship, and Creative Writing. Athena Scholars learn debate, research and policy paper writing skills, and rigorously discuss issue areas including Global Health & Medicine, Conflict, War & Peace, and Rising Technologies.
Athena Scholars will live, learn, dine and socialise in the city of Oxford. We will take a study trip to London and explore leadership models in business and politics. Each Athena Scholar will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Institute of Leadership and earn the right to use post-nominals after her name (AIoL).
PLACES ON THE COURSE ARE VERY LIMITED. The application process includes submitting a Statement of Interest, and Essay, and Report Cards/Academic Reports.
